Procedures for Middle School II
Procedures
Smart Board Procedures-
Line up at orange or blue dot in a circular line.
Move from the dot to the Smart or Promethean Board.
Interact with one or two touches following directions and answering questions.
(A repeat button may be used on Survival Signs Software practice at orange dot).
When you have completed your turn, walk around and join the back of the circular line.
(Students are expected to wait quietly and pay attention to the answers others are giving at the Smart Board device for maximum learning experience).
Entry Procedure-
Students enter at 7:30 and proceed as independently as possible to room 232.
Upon arrival, students hang book bags
get out paperwork/lunches
put coats in book bag
use restroom
choose breakfast
eat breakfast
clean area with one trip to trash can
use restroom
proceed to the computer for ABC Mouse or Starfall
Line-up Procedure-
Line leader will line up on red feet upon request.
Door holder will line up behind her/him.
Others will join behind the leaders.
Line will proceed behind a teacher with arms-length proximity and straight formation.
When an outside door is encountered, door holder will be called to open door and hold until entire line passes through. At that point, door holder will join the back of the line. (If no door holder is present, teacher may elect to appoint another or may ask student to each touch the door as they pass through it.)
