Meet the Counselor

Hello! My name is Sara Nussman, and I’m truly honored to be part of the wonderful Stoner Thomas community. Originally from Welcome, NC, I graduated from North Davidson Senior High and earned degrees in Elementary Education and School Counseling.

I’m proud to have started the school’s very first comprehensive school counseling program here at Stoner Thomas School. Much of my work here is new and evolving, and I’m continually learning how to better support and serve students 

with disabilities.

I am passionate about helping students navigate big emotions and behaviors, develop self-regulation skills, and build meaningful connections. I also work closely with families to connect them with resources that support their child’s success both inside and outside of school.
