In our classroom, the students work very hard on becoming as independent as possible at school, in the community, and in their homes. I have the following certifications: Associate of Arts (College of WV), Multi-Subjects K-6 (B.S. in Educ- Concord College), Cross-Categorical Special Education Certificate K-12 (High Point Univ), Learning Disabilities K-12 (High Point Univ), Executive Leadership/Principal Certificate ( M. A.- Gardner Webb Univ). I have worked as a manager, supervisor over 9 group homes, and now as a Multi-Handicapped teacher for DCS. I am a member of several PLCs (Professional Learning Communities) and I am very proud to state that I am a life long learner. I enjoy learning and trying new things! I have been married for over 40 years. I am the proud mother of 4 wonderful adults and have 5 beautiful grandchildren.
