"Educating for Independence"

Stoner-Thomas School is a public-separate school serving students ages 5-22 with significant disabilities all across Davidson County, North Carolina. Stoner-Thomas prides itself in being a school that intentionally prepares students to gain as much independence as possible in order to live more fulfilling lives after graduation. Through an intentional focus of functional academics, daily living skills, and communication skills, our students are engaged in meaningful instruction following the North Carolina Extended Content Standards each day! Our students graduate with a NC Certificate of Completion rather than a North Carolina Diploma based on the course requirements through NCDPI.
